IIT Madras Holds First-Ever Technology Summit in New Delhi

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras organised its first-ever Technology Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The Union Education Minister inaugurated the event, which was held under the theme "From IITM. For Bharat. Building Together."
The summit focused on showcasing deep-technology innovations and research advances. IIT Madras announced new partnerships with NTPC, BPCL, and HSBC to set up dedicated research centres for healthcare technologies and sustainability projects.
The event also highlighted work in sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) through the Bodhan AI project, semiconductor ecosystems, robotic surgery, and cardiovascular research. IIT Madras, set up in 1959 with assistance from the then West Germany, has consistently ranked first in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
For aspirants, the summit shows how premier institutes are partnering with industry to push research in AI, semiconductors, and healthcare.
