NeGD Felicitates Five States for DigiLocker Integration in Citizen Services
At a national workshop on 11 May 2026, NeGD felicitated Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, Nagaland and Rajasthan for integrating DigiLocker with their citizen services under the Digital India programme.
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) honoured five states for successfully linking DigiLocker with their citizen services. The recognition was given during the National Consultative Workshop on Strengthening Cybersecurity Frameworks for State Data, held on 11 May 2026.
The five states felicitated were Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, Nagaland and Rajasthan. They were praised for their work in digital governance and for making government services easier to access online.
DigiLocker is a platform launched under the Digital India programme in 2015. It allows citizens to store and access important documents, such as certificates and identity papers, securely in digital form. This reduces the need to carry physical copies and makes services faster.
NeGD works under the Digital India Corporation and plays a key role in promoting e-governance and building digital public infrastructure across the country. Linking state services with DigiLocker is part of the wider push to make government delivery paperless, secure and citizen-friendly.
