Selection Process

The written exam is only qualifying — candidates scoring less than 30% are disqualified, and candidates equal to 5 times the vacancies per category are shortlisted for the PET. The final merit list is based solely on PET marks. The PET has three events — Running, Shot Put and High Jump — each to be qualified separately.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The Written Competitive Examination has 100 objective-type questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 100 marks over 2 hours. The minimum qualifying mark is 30%. If held in multiple shifts, marks are normalized using the Equi-Percentile Method. The PET (100 marks) consists of Running (50 marks), Shot Put (25 marks) and High Jump (25 marks).
