Vacancy Details

A total of 120 posts of Livestock Extension Officer (Group-C) are on offer under the Animal Husbandry Department, Uttarakhand. Vacancies are distributed across SC, ST, OBC, EWS and Unreserved categories, with horizontal reservation for Uttarakhand women, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, sportspersons and other categories as per state rules. Four posts are reserved for the PwD sub-category.

Eligibility

Age: 21 to 42 years as on 01-07-2026 (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC, PwD, ex-servicemen and other reserved categories as per rules).

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Agriculture or Animal Husbandry. Desirable additional qualifications carry bonus marks.

Note: Selected candidates undergo 6 months of training at the Departmental Training Centre and 6 months at Departmental Veterinary Hospitals before appointment. No salary is paid during training. Applicants must be registered at an Uttarakhand Employment Office or hold a valid Uttarakhand resident certificate.

Application Fee

The examination fee is payable online during the application process. The fee is non-refundable, and fee paid for a cancelled application is not adjusted.

How to Apply

  1. Apply online only through the UKSSSC portal at https://sssc.uk.gov.in.
  2. Fill the application form using details from your High School (10th) certificate.
  3. Upload required documents including 10th certificate, educational marksheets, Aadhaar, caste and resident certificates as applicable.
  4. Pay the examination fee online.
  5. Submit the form on or before 02-06-2026. A correction window is available from 05-06-2026 to 07-06-2026.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a 100-mark objective (MCQ) written examination of 2 hours, followed by mandatory document verification. There is negative marking of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer. The exam may be held in OMR-based offline mode or computer-based online mode depending on the number of applicants.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The written examination has one paper of 100 marks (100 questions, 2 hours): - Part A (Compulsory, 30 marks): common section for all candidates. - Part B (Optional, 70 marks): Biology (Botany and Zoology). - Part C (Optional, 70 marks): Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.

Candidates must attempt Part A and any one of Part B or Part C.
