Chhattisgarh Launches "Jan Bhagidari" Campaign for Remote Tribal Villages
Chhattisgarh launched the "Jan Bhagidari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle" campaign (18–25 May 2026) to deliver welfare schemes to over 8,000 remote tribal villages, supporting PM-JANMAN and the Dharti Aaba mission.
The Chhattisgarh government launched a special outreach campaign named "Jan Bhagidari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle" to take welfare schemes to the state's most remote tribal villages first. The campaign ran from 18 May to 25 May 2026 and covered more than 8,000 tribal villages.
Run by the state's Tribal Development Department, the drive focused on delivering benefits in health, nutrition, education, social security and drinking water. It also held public grievance hearings and health camps that screened residents for diseases such as sickle cell anaemia and tuberculosis.
The campaign was designed to support national tribal welfare programmes, including PM-JANMAN (Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan) and the Dharti Aaba mission. By reaching the hardest-to-access villages first, the government aimed to close gaps in scheme delivery for vulnerable tribal communities.
For exam aspirants, the key points are the campaign name and slogan, that it belongs to Chhattisgarh, and its link to PM-JANMAN and the Dharti Aaba mission for tribal development.
