Maharashtra launched a public awareness campaign called ‘Kasa Kay?’ on 19 May 2026 to improve healthcare awareness in rural areas. The campaign is part of a larger state initiative named ‘Majhe Gaav, Arogya Sampanna Gaav’, which means ‘My Village, A Health-Rich Village’.

The campaign focuses on preventive healthcare — that is, stopping diseases before they happen. Its main themes are disease control, sanitation, nutrition and access to clean drinking water. The idea is to encourage healthier daily habits among villagers.

Under the initiative, villages that show strong health performance will be given the title of ‘Arogya Sampanna Gaav’ (Health-Rich Village). This is meant to motivate village communities to compete and improve their health standards.

The campaign was launched in Mumbai by the Chief Minister, along with the release of an official health song, promotional material and information booklets. The programme reflects Maharashtra’s effort to strengthen rural health systems and promote community participation in health.

For exam aspirants, remember: the campaign is ‘Kasa Kay?’, the parent initiative is ‘Majhe Gaav, Arogya Sampanna Gaav’, the state is Maharashtra, and the focus is preventive rural healthcare.
