Uber has tied up with the Adani Group to set up its first data centre in India, expected to be operational by end-2026, part of Adani Connex's plan for a five-gigawatt data centre platform.
Uber has partnered with the Adani Group to establish its first data centre in India. The agreement, reported on 16 May 2026, is part of a strategic technology and infrastructure collaboration between the two companies.
The partnership was finalised after a meeting between Uber Chief Executive Officer Dara Khosrowshahi and Gautam Adani in Ahmedabad. A data centre is a large facility that stores and processes the computer servers and data needed to run online services.
The facility is expected to become operational by the end of 2026 and will support Uber's technology expansion in India. The project fits into the Adani Group's wider plan to invest 100 billion US dollars in renewable-energy-powered and AI-ready data centres by 2035. The infrastructure is being built through Adani Connex, which is developing a large five-gigawatt data centre platform across India.
