The Indian Army is inviting applications from unmarried male candidates for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES-56), with 90 vacancies, for a course commencing in January 2027. Vacancy Details

A total of 90 vacancies are available for the TES-56 course. The vacancies are provisional and may change depending on training capacity at the Cadets Training Wings and organisational requirements.

Eligibility

Eligibility is checked as on the closing date of 12-06-2026 (age as on 01-01-2027).

Who can apply: Only unmarried male candidates.

Age: Not below 16.5 years and not above 19.5 years as on 01 January 2027 (born between 02-07-2007 and 01-07-2010).

Qualification: Pass in Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board, and appearance in JEE (Main) 2026. The PCM percentage must be entered up to two decimals without rounding off.

  5. No changes are allowed after the closing date. Carry original documents and the JEE (Main) 2026 result to the SSB interview.

Selection Process

Selection has several stages: applications are shortlisted on the basis of the JEE Main Common Rank List, followed by a five-day SSB Interview, a Medical Examination, the merit list, and finally the joining letter. The final merit list is based solely on SSB interview marks. Selected candidates undergo 4 years (3+1) of training, are awarded an engineering degree, and are commissioned as Lieutenants.
