Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC)

The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) has released a recruitment advertisement to fill 36 posts across several departments of the Government of Goa. Eligibility

Knowledge of Konkani is essential for every post. Knowledge of Marathi is desirable. The age and qualification needed depend on the post:

Age limit: - Most posts: maximum 45 years. - Principal in Government College: maximum 55 years. - Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per Government of Goa rules.

Post-wise educational qualifications: - Assistant Pharmaceutical Chemist: B.Pharm degree with 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical concern, government undertaking or a hospital with more than 500 beds. - Assistant Professor in Psychiatric Nursing: Master's degree in Psychiatric Nursing recognised by the Indian Nursing Council with 5 years of teaching experience after post-graduation. - Assistant Professor in Psychiatric Social Work: Master of Philosophy in Psychiatric Social Work with 5 years of relevant teaching or work experience. - Lecturer in Oral Pathology and Microbiology: Qualification under the Dentists Act, 1948 with a post-graduate qualification in the concerned dentistry speciality, and registration with the Dental Council. - Homeopathic Physician: A Homeopathy degree of at least 4 years under the Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973, with enrolment on a State/Central Register and 3 years of professional experience. - Associate Professor (Nursing posts): Master's degree in Nursing in the concerned speciality with at least 55% marks and the required years of teaching experience. - Senior Psychiatrist: Recognised medical qualification under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 with a post-graduate degree in the speciality and 3 years of relevant experience. - Lecturer (Engineering/Technology posts): First Class Master's degree, or First Class Bachelor's degree, in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology. - Assistant Mining Engineer: Degree in Mining Engineering with a Second Class Manager Certificate of competency and 3 years of experience in the mining field. - Geologist: Master's degree in Geology or Applied Geology with 3 years of relevant experience in the mining field. - Legal Officer: Degree in Law with at least 3 years of experience in court matters or 3 years of practice as an Advocate. - Assistant Professor (Geography/Commerce/Economics): Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks and NET/SET. Candidates awarded a Ph.D. under UGC 2009 regulations are exempt from NET/SET. - Principal in Government College: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, 15 years of teaching/research experience as Professor/Associate Professor, at least 10 research publications and a minimum Research Score of 110.

Application Fee

The application fee can be paid online or offline: - Online: make the payment and download the e-receipt showing successful status. - Offline: generate an e-challan and pay in cash at any State Bank of India branch in Goa on or before the last date. The e-challan must carry the bank stamp and be produced to the Commission's office on or before the last date.

Only after successful payment can a candidate download the completed application form. Fees paid after the last date will not be accepted and will not be refunded. The exact fee amounts are given in the official advertisement and the instructions on the official website.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official website at gpsc.goa.gov.in (or the Government of Goa portal at cbes.goa.gov.in).
  2. Read the "Instructions" available on the Commission's website before starting the application.
  3. Fill in the online application form with correct personal, educational and contact details.
  4. Upload the required documents, such as photograph, signature and certificates, in the prescribed format.
  5. Pay the application fee online, or generate an e-challan and pay at an SBI branch in Goa.
  6. Download and check the completed application form after successful payment.
  7. Submit the application on or before 26 June 2026 and keep a printout or saved copy for future reference.

Selection Process

Possessing the minimum qualifications does not by itself guarantee a call for interview. Where the number of applications is large, the Commission will shortlist candidates to be called for interview as explained in the "Instructions" on its website. Final selection is based on the interview conducted by the Goa Public Service Commission.
