Candidates should apply only for the cadre(s) for which they meet the educational and typing qualifications.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold the cadre-specific educational qualification required for the post applied for. Typing proficiency is mandatory for the Tax Assistant and Clerk-Typist posts (Tax Assistant requires both Marathi and English typing; Clerk-Typist requires either Marathi or English typing). Only typing certificates from the Government Commercial Certificate Examination or a government-recognised equivalent are accepted.

Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit: Age is reckoned as on 01-10-2026. Reserved-category candidates, persons with disabilities, ex-servicemen and project-affected persons get an upper age relaxation of up to 7 years over the general limit, as per Maharashtra Government rules.

The fee can be paid online through the SBI payment gateway (debit card, credit card or net banking) or offline through an SBI bank challan. The last date for online fee payment is 17-07-2026 and for offline challan payment is 20-07-2026. Please refer to the official notification for exact category-wise fee amounts.

2. Register on the portal and complete KYC verification if you are a new user.
3. Log in and open the MPSC Group C 2026 application link.
4. Fill in your personal, educational and other required details accurately.
5. Upload the required documents and category certificates as applicable.
6. Select your examination centre and post preference(s).
7. Pay the application fee online or generate an SBI challan for offline payment.
8. Submit the form and save a printout of the application and fee receipt for future reference.

1. Combined Preliminary Examination (objective type, Computer-Based Test).
2. Combined or Independent Main Examination (depending on the cadre).

There is no interview stage for these Group-C posts. Candidates must qualify the Preliminary Examination to be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

The Combined Preliminary Examination is an objective-type (MCQ) paper conducted in online / Computer-Based Test mode. Detailed exam pattern and syllabus are given in the official notification.
