The Mizoram Public Service Commission is recruiting 42 candidates on a contractual basis — 40 Nursing Officers and 2 Staff Nurses — under the Health & Family Welfare Department and the Home (Prisons) Department. Vacancy Details

A total of 42 contractual Group 'B' (Non-Gazetted) posts are available — 40 Nursing Officer and 2 Staff Nurse positions — under the Health & Family Welfare Department and the Home (Prisons) Department, Government of Mizoram. Reservation is provided for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and Ex-Servicemen as per government norms.

Eligibility

Eligibility is checked as on the crucial date of 01-01-2026.

Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 35 years, with relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST and other reserved categories as per Mizoram Government rules.

Qualification: For Nursing Officer — Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) with valid Nursing Council registration. For Staff Nurse — a Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with valid Nursing Council registration.

Other requirements: A Computer Proficiency Certificate as prescribed by the Mizoram service rules, and Mizo language proficiency (those who studied Mizo up to Class 10 or above are exempt).

Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online, if applicable. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are exempt from the fee. Other candidates should check the official MPSC portal for the exact fee.

Visit the MPSC online portal at mpsconline.mizoram.gov.in.
New users complete one-time registration before 12-06-2026 (4:00 PM); existing users log in directly.
Fill the application form with personal, educational and Nursing Council registration details.
Upload the required documents as per the specifications.
Pay the fee online (PwBD candidates exempt), submit the form, confirm the status shows "Submitted", and keep a printout.

Selection Process

Selection consists of a Written Examination, Document Verification, and a Mizo Language Proficiency Test (wherever applicable; candidates who studied Mizo up to Class 10 or above are exempt). The syllabus for the written examination is available on the official MPSC website.
