Odisha Public Service Commission Language Officer Recruitment 2026 — 3 Posts

Total Posts: 3 for the post of Language Officer (Group-B).

Pay Scale: Rs. 35,400 (Level-9 of the Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules 2017), plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances sanctioned by the Government of Odisha.

Educational Qualification: Graduation with Odia as an Honours subject; OR Graduation with English as an Honours subject and Odia as a Pass / Compulsory subject; OR Post-Graduation in Odia together with a Graduation in Law, from a recognised university.

Nationality / Character: Candidate must be an Indian citizen of good character and sound health.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 42 years. Age relaxation: 5 years for ST / Women / Ex-Servicemen and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (cumulative for ST + PwD candidates). For age relaxation on the basis of experience, a minimum of 7 years of service (or 3 years with at least 1 year of translation work) in relevant Group B/C government posts is required. Only Odisha ST certificates by birth are valid.

The fee is refundable to candidates who appear in both papers of the written examination.

2. Register on the portal and log in.
3. Fill in the Language Officer 2026 application form with accurate details.
4. Upload your scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression and all required documents.
5. Pay the application fee as applicable to your category.
6. Submit the application before 03-08-2026 (5:00 PM) and take a printout for future reference. Government servants must submit a No Objection Certificate.

1. Written Examination (subjective type) — 300 marks (Paper-I and Paper-II).
2. Viva-Voce Test — 40 marks.
