Vacancy Details

A total of 310 Veterinary Inspector posts are open under Advertisement No. 10 of 2026. Posts are filled as per the reservation policy of the Government of Punjab, with category-wise reservation for SC, BC, EWS, ex-servicemen, sports persons, persons with disabilities and freedom-fighter dependants, and a share of posts reserved for women candidates.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Indian citizens eligible under Government of Punjab rules. Age and the minimum and maximum age limits are fixed as per Punjab Government norms, calculated with reference to 25 May 2026, with age relaxation allowed for SC, BC, EWS, ex-servicemen and other reserved categories as per state rules. Candidates must hold the educational and technical qualification in Veterinary or Animal Husbandry prescribed in the departmental service rules.

The fee must be paid through the online payment gateway. Applications without successful online fee payment are treated as incomplete and rejected. No fee exemption is allowed.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official website at sssb.punjab.gov.in and click the Apply Online link.
  2. New users register to generate a User ID (Email ID) and password.
  3. Log in and fill in personal, educational and category details carefully.
  4. Upload a recent passport-size photograph and your signature.
  5. Upload scanned copies of the 10th certificate, qualification certificates and other required documents in PDF format.
  6. Pay the application fee online as per your category.
  7. Submit the form and download a printout for future reference.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a written examination followed by the further stages mentioned in the notification. The merit list is prepared from the marks scored in the written examination, applying the reservation policy of the Government of Punjab.
