RPSC Lecturer (Special Education), 1st Grade Teacher Recruitment 2026 — 121 Posts

A total of 121 posts of Lecturer (Special Education) are open under the Secondary Education Department. Vacancies are distributed category-wise (General, SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS) with horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, and other special categories. Reservation benefits apply only to bonafide residents of Rajasthan.

Education: A Post Graduate degree in a relevant subject along with a B.Ed. (Special Education), or a B.Ed. with a two-year Diploma in Special Education recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

RCI registration: Mandatory. Candidates must be permanently or provisionally registered with the RCI before the date of the examination, and must give their RCI registration number in the application.

Age: 21 to 40 years as on 01-01-2027. Age relaxation is non-cumulative — only the single highest applicable relaxation is given. The maximum age, including all relaxations, shall not exceed 52 years.

The one-time registration fee is paid online and is non-refundable. Candidates from other states belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS must pay the General category fee. An online correction after submission costs Rs. 500 (within 10 days of the closing date). If a candidate is absent in 2 or more examinations conducted between 01 April and 31 March, the application facility is blocked; reactivation costs Rs. 750 for the first block and Rs. 1500 for later blocks.

1. First complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the SSO Portal at https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in, uploading a live photo and your Aadhaar/Janaadhar details.
2. Log in to the Recruitment Portal at https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in using your SSO ID.
3. Fill the online form with your educational, RCI registration, and category details.
4. Pay the one-time registration fee online and submit. Keep a printout. Note: Personal details in the OTR (name, father's name, date of birth, gender) must match your Aadhaar and cannot be changed afterwards.

Selection is through a written competitive examination of 450 marks (computer-based or OMR). All questions are multiple choice. The minimum qualifying mark is 40% in each paper, relaxed to 35% for SC/ST candidates of Rajasthan. There is negative marking — one-third of the mark is deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates recommended on the basis of written merit then undergo police verification, character verification, and a medical fitness examination before appointment.
