Vacancy Details

A total of 2,759 posts of Technical Assistant (AGTA) in Group C are open across various departments of the Uttar Pradesh Government. Vacancies are distributed across UR, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories as per the reservation policy. The pay is as per the 7th Pay Commission scale adopted by the state government, with applicable allowances.

Eligibility

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from a recognised university, or an equivalent degree in Horticulture, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering, or a 4-year Home Science / Community Science course.

Mandatory requirement: Candidates must have appeared in UPSSSC PET 2025 and hold a valid PET 2025 score card. Only PET 2025 qualified candidates are shortlisted for the main examination.

Age: 21 to 40 years. Age relaxation applies to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates as per UPSSSC rules.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs. 25 for all categories, paid online through SBI I-Collect, net banking, debit card, credit card, or e-challan, on or before 11-06-2026.

  3. Fill the form with your category, educational qualification, and agriculture degree details.
  4. Upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  5. Pay the Rs. 25 fee online, review, and submit. Take a printout of the application and fee receipt.

Selection Process

Selection has three stages. First, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their UPSSSC PET 2025 scores, reservation rules, and post-wise vacancies. Second, shortlisted candidates take the AGTA main written examination, an objective paper covering agriculture and related subjects. Third, candidates shortlisted from the main examination undergo document verification. The final selection is based purely on the marks obtained in the main written examination, subject to successful document verification.
