TGPSC Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) Recruitment 2026 — 222 Posts

A total of 222 provisional vacancies are on offer for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) in the Transport, Roads and Buildings Department. The posts are distributed across Multi Zone-I and Multi Zone-II with category-wise reservation for OC, EWS, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC and ST candidates, along with horizontal reservation for Sports persons and Persons with Disabilities (VH, HH, OH, MH). Vacancies carried forward from earlier recruitments are also included. The total number of posts may change based on intimation from the concerned department.

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognised University or Institute.

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2026): Minimum 18 years and maximum 44 years. The upper age limit shown is for Unreserved (OC) candidates. The upper limit was raised from 34 to 44 years as per the Government Order dated 18-05-2026. Age relaxation applies as per the rules.

Other conditions: All eligibility conditions must be met as on the notification date (02-06-2026). Only candidates who have completed One Time Registration (OTR) on the Commission's website are eligible to apply. Applicants from other States are not entitled to any reservation.

Both fees must be paid in full where applicable; otherwise the candidature will not be considered. Fees once paid are not refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.

Selection is made through a written examination of the objective type, conducted either as a Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or in OMR-based offline mode, as decided by the Commission. The mode is announced through a web or press note and in the Hall Ticket.

The examination has two papers totalling 450 marks: - Paper-I — General Studies and General Abilities: 150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes (bilingual: English and Telugu). - Paper-II — Civil Engineering (Degree Level): 150 questions, 300 marks, 150 minutes (English only).

Qualifying marks are a minimum of 40% for OC, Sports and EWS candidates and lower thresholds for BC and other reserved categories as set by the Commission. Final selection is subject to document verification and medical fitness. There is no waiting list.
